UGHNOTT LUMBER COMPANY
The Ughnott Lumber Co. was a small lumber company that had exclusive right to the Goom Wa Chee forest, which stands for Land of Big Trees, and was owned by the Native Americans of the region. As a small lumber company goes, it had to make the best of what it had. With a small saw mill, slash burner, workers camp and shower area, along with its log flume, log pond, log crane and office, it was able to cut down and saw down a lot of the forest trees in a timely manner that kept it competitive in the lumber market.
